## Advice because I love you like you are my own: You

be able to multiply and factor polynomials to succeed in this class! You must also be proficient with properties of exponents. If any of the problems on Factoring, or Simplifying give you trouble, then you need to spend some time right away brushing up your basic algebra skills. You can always use the sections recommended in the text for review. Here are some websites with practice problems. You might try these as well. Keep reviewing until you can multiply, factor and simplify the polynomials given in the Chapter Warm-up and in the first assignment from section 9.1.MUST## Algebra Practice Material: A good review, examples, and test problems on factoring Adding and Subtracting Polynomials Multiplying Binomials with the FOIL method Multiplying Other Polynomials Factoring a difference of two squares Factoring Polynomials One Factoring Polynomials Two Factoring Polynomials Three Factoring Polynomials Four Factoring Polynomials by Grouping

Email or text me your questions with your work if you have any! --------------------------------------------- Last three class meeting lecture notes The final exam will cover homework problems and lecture examples from sections 11.3, 11.4, 12.1, 13.2 and 13.3 (HW20b - 23). I don't have any practice problems so the best way to study is to do the following: 1) Work every homework problem to the point where you can take it and re-work it without looking at any previous work. 2) Try working all my examples from the lecture notes. Cover my work, do the problem and compare your results. 3) Try working the text examples that are similar to the homework problems. 4) Find similar problems on the chapter 11, 12 and 13 reviews and tests and try to work them. 5) Any of the above problems that you are getting the correct answer, take a picture of your work and either email it or text it to me with your question. Good luck! Remember to bring two study sheets and your calculator! Our Final Exam is Tuesday, Dec. 9th from 3:15-5:15 in our regular room. Remember to bring your calculator and up to two study sheets. Note: On all emails for this course, start the subject line out with MAT1316, followed by whatever else is appropriate. Emails without this subject line formatting may not be accepted! Our fifth quiz will be Tuesday, 11/18 over HW16, HW17 and HW18 (10.2, 10.3, 10.5, 11.1)
